Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are already grabbing attention with their upcoming film Cocktail 2, slated to release in September this year. But even before audiences get to see their chemistry on screen, the popular duo has signed yet another big project together.

According to sources, director Amit Sharma has finalized Shahid and Rashmika for his next romantic comedy. The two actors recently wrapped up the shoot for Cocktail 2 and will reunite once again for this fresh love-filled entertainer.

Amit Sharma to helm the project

The untitled film will be directed by Amit Sharma, best known for critically acclaimed and audience-loved films like Badhaai Ho and Maidaan. It will be produced by Sunir Kheterpal under the banner of Vermilion World, in collaboration with Jio Studios. While the title is yet to be announced, shooting is expected to begin around August–September 2026, once both actors wrap up their current commitments.

Shahid Kapoor is currently riding high on excitement for his upcoming action-thriller O Romeo, which is set to release on February 13. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey. Post its release, Shahid will dive straight into the shooting of Farzi for Amazon Prime Video.

Rashmika Mandanna stays unstoppable

Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, continues to dominate with multiple projects lined up. She will be seen in Ranbali alongside Vijay Deverakonda, Atlee’s much-talked-about action film #AA22xA6, and the upcoming film Maysa.

With Cocktail 2 and a brand-new rom-com in the pipeline, Shahid and Rashmika’s on-screen pairing is fast becoming one of the most anticipated collaborations in Bollywood.
