Popular television actress Hina Khan, known for her iconic roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Bigg Boss 11, recently spoke from the heart about one of the most difficult phases of her life—her cancer treatment journey. Appearing on actress Soha Ali Khan’s podcast ‘All About Her’, Hina shared emotional details about her chemotherapy experience, mental struggles, and the life-changing lessons she learned along the way.

Chemotherapy Was Physically and Emotionally Draining

Recalling the intense phase of chemotherapy, Hina revealed how challenging those days were. She said that each chemotherapy cycle came with a mix of emotions and physical pain.
“I used to undergo chemotherapy every three weeks. The first week was extremely painful. My body felt completely broken, and the nerve pain was unbearable. That phase was the hardest for me,” she shared emotionally.

Finding Joy Between the Painful Days

Despite the suffering, Hina chose to focus on living life whenever her body allowed her to. She explained that the remaining two weeks after chemotherapy were her recovery period.
“Those weeks were my time to breathe. I traveled, met friends and family, and tried to enjoy life as much as possible. Those moments gave me strength to face the next cycle,” she said.

A Test of Mental Strength and Patience

Talking about the emotional impact of cancer, Hina described the period as extremely testing. She explained that doctors usually give patients time between chemotherapy sessions for recovery, depending on their condition.
“In my case, the gap was three weeks. The pain in the first week was terrifying, but I kept reminding myself to stay strong and hopeful,” she added.

Life Lessons from a Difficult Phase

Hina Khan also shared some powerful life lessons from her journey. According to her, perspective plays a crucial role during tough times.
“People think life ends when a major illness hits, but that’s not true. Even in the darkest phases, there are good days. Being surrounded by loved ones, feeling cared for, and staying positive can change everything,” she said.

She concluded by emphasizing that patience, hope, and a positive mindset are the biggest strengths during difficult times.

Hina Khan’s courageous words have inspired many, proving once again that even in pain, strength, gratitude, and hope can lead the way forward.
