The much-awaited trailer of the epic Telugu film Kannappa has finally dropped, and it’s nothing short of a visual spectacle. Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar makes a thunderous debut in Telugu cinema, stepping into the divine role of Lord Shiva, while Prabhas surprises fans with his powerful and mysterious look as Rudra.
A Divine Tale of Transformation
Set against a mythological backdrop, Kannappa tells the story of Thinnan (played by Vishnu Manchu), a fierce warrior and expert archer who initially rejects the existence of God. Living in a village threatened by evil forces, Thinnan’s only goal is to protect his people. Though an atheist at heart, destiny pulls him towards a divine path where faith replaces fury.
The trailer showcases Thinnan’s incredible journey — from disbelief to becoming one of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotees. Initially questioning the very existence of God and referring to Shiva as nothing more than a stone idol, his perception shifts when Rudra (Prabhas) enters the scene to guide him. The transformation from Thinnan to the devout Kannappa is packed with emotion, action, and awe-inspiring moments.

Star Power and Direction
Kannappa boasts an ensemble cast that bridges South Indian cinema and Bollywood. Vishnu Manchu headlines the film with Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and cameo appearances by legendary actors like Mohanlal and Mohan Babu. The film also features powerhouse performers like Kajal Aggarwal, Nayanthara, Preeti Mukhundan, and Brahmanandam.
Helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohanlal, the film promises a grand cinematic experience with mythological depth and dramatic intensity. From the spiritual awakening of a warrior to the stunning visuals of gods descending on Earth, Kannappa is poised to be one of the year’s biggest pan-India releases.
Global Release
The film is all set to release in theatres worldwide on June 27, and after this breathtaking trailer, the excitement has hit a new high.
Stay tuned — Kannappa might just be the divine action-drama fans have been waiting for!
