Salman Khan continues to prove why he’s called the “Sultan of the Box Office.” Despite a shaky run after a grand Eid release, his film Sikandar is still holding its ground. Though Vicky Kaushal’s Chaava and Sunny Deol’s Jaat tried to overshadow it, Sikandar remains a strong contender in the race, earning it the title of a true Baazigar — one who wins after losing.
While Jaat made a significant dent in the collections of Sikandar, it still couldn’t topple two major records held by Salman’s film. This only reinforces how Salman’s massive fanbase and brand value can carry a film, even when the competition is fierce.
Sikandar Still Roars at the Box Office
After a blockbuster start, Sikandar did face hurdles, especially after newer releases like Jaat and Chawa hit the theatres. Still, the movie has managed to keep the cash registers ringing. According to the latest numbers reported by Sacklink.com, Sikandar earned approximately Rs 16 lakh on its 17th day (Wednesday), taking its total domestic collection to Rs 109.76 crore.
Sunny Deol’s Jaat Yet to Beat These Two Major Records
Despite its popularity, Jaat is struggling to beat Sikandar in two major areas. Firstly, it still needs Rs 43 crore to surpass Sikandar‘s domestic collection. Secondly, it must rake in more than Rs 130 crore globally to beat Sikandar‘s impressive worldwide total of Rs 200.93 crore.
And with Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 releasing on April 18, the road ahead looks even tougher for Jaat. The clash might impact the earnings of both films, but for now, Sikandar is still standing tall — proving yet again why Salman Khan is in a league of his own.
