After a four-year hiatus, Sooraj Pancholi has returned to the silver screen with Kesari Veer, a historical drama centered around the brave warrior Hamirji Gohil. Alongside him, veteran actor Sunil Shetty plays a pivotal role in the film, which hit theatres on the 23rd under the direction of Prince Dhiman.
Despite receiving a positive response from viewers and an impressive 8.6 rating on IMDb, Kesari Veer has failed to leave a mark at the box office. While the film has been appreciated for its storyline and performances, it struggled to draw audiences to theatres. Its release coincided with two other films, which affected its overall earnings.

Box Office Collection: Kesari Veer Faces a Tough Weekend
Though Kesari Veer had the potential to appeal to history buffs, it couldn’t generate enough pre-release buzz. As per Sacknilk reports, the film opened to a disappointing Rs 25 lakh on Friday. Saturday saw a minimal rise, with collections reaching only Rs 26 lakh, bringing the total to just Rs 51 lakh in two days. The official numbers are still awaited from the makers.
Bhool Chuk Maaf Steals the Spotlight
In contrast, Bhool Chuk Maaf, a comedy film starring Rajkummar Rao and Vamika Gabbi, has managed to capture audience attention and is performing strongly at the box office. It earned Rs 7 crore on its opening day and saw a jump to Rs 9 crore on Saturday, taking its total to Rs 16 crore in just two days.
While Kesari Veer might be winning hearts with its narrative and performances, it’s Bhool Chuk Maaf that has emerged as the box office winner this weekend.
