Karan Johar’s reality show The Traitors continues to make headlines — not just for its suspenseful format, but also for the heated interactions between its celebrity contestants. Recently, a tense moment unfolded when actor Sudhanshu Pandey publicly called out influencer Apoorva Makhija for her disrespectful comments about veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi.
Sudhanshu Pandey Calls Out Apoorva Over Disrespect
During a live chat with fans, Sudhanshu didn’t mince words as he addressed Apoorva Makhija’s attitude towards 63-year-old Ashish Vidyarthi. “She’s not a bad person. In fact, I believe she has a good heart. But when your words start to go wrong, everything else loses value,” he said sternly.
“Is He Your Childhood Friend?”
Sudhanshu took issue with Apoorva’s informal tone and offhand comments about the senior actor. “She said behind my back, ‘I think Ashish will go.’ Excuse me, is he your childhood friend? How do you speak like that about someone who’s senior to you, someone who could be older than your parents?” he asked in disbelief.
A Generational Concern
The Anupamaa actor went on to express disappointment with the mindset he believes some Gen-Z individuals are embracing. “If this is Gen-Z behaviour, then I’m sorry, I don’t accept it. I also have Gen-Z children — and they know how to respect others.”
A Lesson in Respect
Comparing Apoorva’s behaviour to that of his own sons, Sudhanshu emphasized the need for humility and decency in public discourse. “It’s not just about one show or one statement — it’s about the culture we’re promoting. Respecting your elders is basic decency, not optional.”
As The Traitors continues to serve up drama and competition, it’s clear the emotional stakes are just as high as the game. Whether this public rebuke changes the dynamics on the show remains to be seen.
