Deepika Padukone’s life mantra has always been simple—no matter the challenges, keep moving forward. Despite being caught in several controversies recently, the actress continues to shine, both in Bollywood and internationally.
After welcoming her daughter Dua, Deepika has set clear priorities. She now limits her work hours to a maximum of eight per day, a choice that led her to lose out on two major projects. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga even criticized her professionalism and replaced her with Tripti Dimri in Prabhas’ film Spirit. Soon after, the makers of Kalki 2 also dropped her, despite her having completed nearly 20 days of shooting.
But setbacks don’t define Deepika Padukone. Instead, she is charting her own course, with not just Bollywood hits but also another big Hollywood outing.
Deepika’s Second Hollywood Film with Vin Diesel
A close source revealed that Deepika has signed with one of the top Hollywood talent agencies to manage her career. This isn’t her first brush with Hollywood—fans still remember her 2017 debut in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel.
Now, she’s gearing up for the sequel to that blockbuster, reprising her lead role alongside Diesel once again.
Shooting in Mumbai for Daughter Dua
Interestingly, this big-budget action film will not be shot overseas. At Deepika’s request, the entire movie will be filmed in Mumbai, ensuring she remains close to her daughter. Reports confirm that Vin Diesel will travel to India for the project, making it a rare Hollywood production entirely based in Mumbai.
Besides this sequel, Deepika was also approached for the third season of the globally popular series The White Lotus, but she turned it down to focus on motherhood.

Back with Shah Rukh Khan Again
Meanwhile, fans have another reason to rejoice. Deepika will once again share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan for the ninth time in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film Pathaan.
Deepika Padukone may have redefined her work-life balance, but one thing remains unchanged—her star power continues to shine brightly across both Bollywood and Hollywood.
