As the year comes to an end, Bollywood has witnessed a clear box office verdict from audiences. Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s much-discussed film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has failed to impress moviegoers and social media users alike. Released amid massive expectations, the film has opened to disappointing numbers, especially when compared to the unstoppable wave created by Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar.

Weak Opening Day Collection Raises Concerns

Even before its theatrical release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri struggled to generate positive buzz. That lack of excitement has now reflected clearly in its opening-day box office performance.

According to early reports by Sacnilk, the film managed to collect approximately ₹7.5 crore on Day 1. With only around 51,000 tickets sold, footfall remained significantly low across multiplexes and single screens. Trade analysts believe the film may struggle to touch the ₹10 crore mark, unless there is an unexpected jump by the end of the day.

Dhurandhar’s Blockbuster Run Affects Screen Share

One of the biggest reasons behind the film’s poor performance is the overwhelming success of Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. The multi-starrer has taken the box office by storm, drawing massive crowds and dominating screens nationwide.

With Dhurandhar already crossing the ₹1000 crore worldwide collection, its strong hold has severely limited the visibility and audience reach of Karan Johar’s production.

Can the Holiday Season Save the Film?

There is mild optimism that the ongoing holiday season could offer some relief to Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. However, given the lack of strong word-of-mouth and intense competition from Dhurandhar, chances of a major turnaround appear slim. Social media reactions so far suggest that audiences remain largely uninterested.

While Dhurandhar continues its historic box office run, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic drama seems to be heading toward an early exit from theaters. Unless the film sees a sudden surge in audience interest, it may soon be labeled one of the biggest disappointments of the year.
