Bollywood’s Sultan of action, Salman Khan, is all set to take on his most intense and patriotic role to date. Known for larger-than-life action on the silver screen, this time Salman isn’t fighting for family or revenge—he’s fighting for the nation in his upcoming war epic ‘Battle of Galwan’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

Ever since his last film Sikandar, Salman has been in the spotlight for his transformation into a soldier, and now with Battle of Galwan, the anticipation has hit a new peak. The first glimpse of the film sparked massive excitement, but what Salman revealed recently has left fans stunned.

8 Days of Shoot in Icy Waters — Even Salman is Nervous

In a recent conversation at the launch of Indian Supercross League Season 2, Salman shared a chilling detail—he will be shooting intense fight scenes in the freezing waters of Leh-Ladakh for 8 consecutive days. The scenes will take place in melting snow streams, and the actor openly admitted:

“We are starting shooting in 10 days. It is very difficult. Complete scuffle in the icy water of Leh-Ladakh. We will be in the fresh water of melting snow for 8 days continuously. I am scared, but I will do it.”

Even for a seasoned action hero like Salman, this role is pushing the limits of physical endurance and mental strength.

The Story Behind ‘Battle of Galwan’

The film is based on the heroic story of Colonel Santosh Babu, who led the 16 Bihar Regiment during the tragic 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces. Inspired by the book “India’s Most Fearless 3” by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, the film captures the courage, sacrifice, and raw reality of war.

Salman Khan will portray Colonel Santosh Babu, while actress Chitrangada Singh will play the female lead. With such a powerful story and real-life stakes, Battle of Galwan promises to be not just a film, but a tribute to true Indian bravery—and Salman’s boldest performance yet.
